About MilesMalt
Why we write about travel, tables, and whisky
MilesMalt started from a simple habit: noticing what people eat and pour in the places they visit. The blog follows that curiosity across destinations, restaurant reviews, and approachable whisky notes.
Our approach
Visiting the tables and distilleries that shape a place
I'm interested in the details that make a restaurant worth remembering, not just the room or the menu. A good meal can tell you a lot about where you are, especially when you take the time to notice what is on the table, who is cooking it, and how locals gather around it.
Whisky works the same way. Visits to distilleries and bottle shops are about the place and the people as much as the liquid. Start with what you taste, and go from there.
Editorial independence
Our reviews are our own, and they stay that way.
We pay for our own meals and tastings. Sponsorships and promotional offers do not shape what we recommend, and we do not accept payment for favorable coverage. Our goal is honest, grounded writing that helps readers decide where to eat, where to go, and what to pour.
